'Connect With Every Section Of Society': PM Modi To BJP Leaders At National Executive Meeting

"BJP is no longer a mere political movement but also a social movement working to transform socio-economic conditions," PM Modi told the gathering.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that India's best era is coming and everyone should dedicate themselves to the development of the country while addressing the second day of the Bharatiya Janata Party national executive meet.

"BJP is no longer a mere political movement but also a social movement working to transform socio-economic conditions," PM Modi told the gathering.

PM said that BJP workers have to forge connections with all sections of society with sensitivity and not do anything just for votes but to bring change in the country, reported ANI.

"Under the resolution of 'Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat', all states should cooperate with each other & be accommodative of each other's language and culture," Modi added.

Addressing a press conference, Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “PM Modi said during BJP national executive meeting that this is the best time for India and we must work very hard to contribute to the country's development. He also said that Amrit Kaal should be transformed into Kartavya Kaal then only the country can rapidly move towards progress.”

“PM said that youths aged between 18-25 haven't witnessed misgovernance of previous govt & how India has now moved from misgovernance to good governance under present government. So awareness about it must be created among youths, BJP will do it in coming days”, Fadnavis added.

The party also extended JP Nada's tenure as the party chief till June 2024. His extension comes just ahead of his three-year term expiring on January 20.

BJP held a two-day national executive meeting in the national capital on January 16-17, to discuss political and economic resolutions.

The executive meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top BJP leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and the party's national president J P Nadda.
