Previously, Pawan Khera had become very emotional while speaking to ABP News about the Coronavirus crisis amid the exit poll projections of recently held assembly elections.
Reacting to a question over Congress' performance, the spokesperson said: "Sumit Bhai be it victory or loss I don't think that anybody can afford to smile. Considering the situation that the country is in I do not wish to comment any further on that in this debate. Today while the country is losing (the battle against Covid) if we debate about win or loss in the election I don't think the nation will forgive us for that. At least I won't commit this sin".
"The nation will not forgive us here if we cheer or clap over who wins and loses in the election," he added.
Urging the panel to talk about the challenges put up by the second wave of Coronavirus pandemic, Pawan Khera had said: "While we speak there are people lining up outside crematoriums. There are people who are calling you and me for Oxygen. Hospital beds are unavailable and we are debating who is winning or losing the election, which party is winning how many seats. Are we in politics for this?"
Meanwhile, several Congress members and leaders from other parties have extended their condolences.
