This Chintan Shivir being organised by Congress is a result of the recent debacle in five assembly elections. In this brainstorming session, around 400 senior Congress leaders will participate and discuss issues related to 'communal polarization', farmers' issues, and strengthening the party for the upcoming elections, party sources told news agency ANI.
Six groups will be formed and the focus of the discussions will include the upcoming state assembly elections that are due later this year, early next year, and even the general elections of 2024.
The discussions will be held on the first and second days and the observations will be recorded in the form of a declaration which will be discussed at the CWC meeting on the third day.
According to a report by ANI, a party member who is active in the shvir said that the motto of this brainstorming session is to deliberate upon 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The first day will begin with an address by interim party president Sonia Gandhi with Rahul Gandhi’s address on the third day and the concluding remarks of Sonia Gandhi.
