Rahul Gandhi Unveils 5 Pillars In 'Fight For Nyay', Congress To Announce New Programme Before Lok Sabha Polls
Gandhi, who is leading the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, said the attempts to stop his visit to a temple and a university, as well as preventing the 'padyatra,' were nothing but tactics of intimidation.
New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked Assam's Chief Minister, saying Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra would benefit from what Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are doing as it is getting publicity.
Gandhi, who is leading the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, said that the attempts to stop his visit to a temple and a university, as well as preventing the 'padyatra,' were tactics of intimidation, but they would not get intimidated, reported news agency PTI.
The Congress leader stated that there is an idea of "Nyay behind this Nyay Yatra," adding that the Congress party would announce five pillars of justice before the Lok Sabha Polls which will give the country more power. "The five pillars of justice would give strength to the country -- participation, justice for youth, labourers, women, and farmers."

Gandhi further intensified his attack on Assam CM, saying he is one of the most corrupt chief ministers in the country.
Speaking to reporters, Gandhi said, "The chief minister of the state is one of the most corrupt chief ministers in the country. Whenever I move to the state people tell me- that massive unemployment, massive corruption, massive price rise, farmers are struggling & no youth can get a job in this state. These are the issues we are raising & we are being very successful in it..."

He earlier today alleged that he was "not allowed" to interact with students of a private university in Meghalaya at the "instructions" of Amit Shah.
"Whatever the Assam CM is doing against the Yatra, it benefits the Yatra. The publicity that we might have not got, by doing this the Assam CM & Union Home Minister Amit Shah are helping us. Now, the main issue in Assam is the Yatra...It is their intimidation tactics...Our message of Nyay is reaching the people," the Congress MP said.

Earlier today, a clash erupted between the police and Congress workers as Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra continued in Assam's Guwahati. This comes as the state government and the Congress locked horns over the rally in Assam with the grand old party alleging that the march was attacked by 'BJP goons' on Saturday.
Assam Chief Minister on Tuesday morning instructed the state Director General of Police (DGP) to register a case against Rahul Gandhi for allegedly "provoking crowd."
Gandhi is leading a Manipur-to-Mumbai Nyay Yatra of the party, which entered Assam from Meghalaya on Tuesday for the second and final leg of its travel through the state. It will travel through Assam till January 25.
