CBSE Class X results: Union minister Smriti Irani's daughter scores 82%

Barely four days ago were the results for the Class 12 exams announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Irani’s son had scored 91 per cent marks in the Class 12 CBSE examinations.

New Delhi: It’s an eventful day for Union Minister Smriti Irani. Firstly, people in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi are out to vote and choose between her and Congress President Rahul Gandhi as parliamentarians. Secondly, the minister takes pride in announcing that her daughter has secured 82% in the CBSE Class X results. This year a total of 91.1% students passed CBSE board 10th exam. This is a significant rise from last year. The board's Thiruvananthapuram region has the highest pass percentage at 99.85 followed by Chennai at 99.00 per cent and Ajmer at 95.89 per cent. "Ok saying it out loud proud of my son Zohr..not only did he come back with a bronze medal from the World Kempo Championship also scored well in 12 th boards. Best of 4 91% .. special yahoo for 94% in economics.. Maaf karna, today I'm just a gloating Mom," Irani had tweeted last Thursday. In the Class XII CBSE examination, girls had outshone boys yet again with a pass percentage of 88.70 which is 9 percentage points more than that of boys' 79.40 per cent.
