BSF, Punjab Police Recover Pakistani Drone Near Border In Tarn Taran

A Pakistani drone recovered by the joint efforts of BSF and Punjab Police, from Rajoke village of Tarn Taran district. The recovered drone is a quadcopter, model DJI Matric RTK- 300, BSF said, as reported by news agency ANI.

Last week, In a joint operation, the BSF and the Punjab Police recovered a suspected Pakistani drone and three kilogrammes of heroin from a field near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district on Monday, said officials as reported by news agency PTI. A BSF official said the troops conducted the search operation late on Sunday night after hearing the buzzing sound of the drone near Kalash village in the district. Officials also said they suspect that the unmanned aerial vehicle entered Indian territory from Pakistan.

In an official statement, the BSF said the troops tried to intercept the drone as per the protocol. They said they found the drone (hexacopter) and three kilogrammes of heroin wrapped with yellow tape from the field near Khemkaran and Kalash village, ANI reported. The BSF officials said, as quoted by PTI, "Another Pakistani drone recovered by the joint efforts of BSF and Punjab Police."

Meanwhile, in another such incident that took place on July 8, the Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a Pakistani drone near the India-Pakistan border from Punjab’s Tarn Taran district after it violated the Indian airspace, news agency ANI reported. According to the report, the drone was later recovered following an intensive search operation by BSF in Rajoke village. “The recovered drone is a Quadcopter of model DJI Matrice 350 RTK series,” BSF said, as quoted by ANI.

Earlier in June also, BSF in a joint operation with Punjab Police recovered another Pakistani drone from the outskirts of Dal village in Tarn Taran district. “Today, on 14th June, during morning hours, a joint search operation was launched by BSF with Punjab Police on the outskirts of Dal village, Tarn Taran district.
