Preparations have been completed for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to Kedarnath Dham on Friday. The entire temple is heavily decked up ahead of his visit. On reaching Kedarnath Dham, the Prime Minister will unveil the statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, which was damaged in the 2013 deluge. Meanwhile, devotees are still visiting Baba Kedar in the midst of a severe cold.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Kedarnath on November 5 and unveil the statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. In addition, when PM Modi will unveil the Shankaracharya’s statue, it will be live-streamed to the 11 Jyotirlingas across the country.
Meanwhile, the air quality index in the Delhi-NCR has deteriorated to 382 to reach "very poor" and may turn 'severe' by midnight and shoot up rapidly by Friday morning.
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Wednesday had urged the Centre to issue an advisory to Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to completely stop stubble burning during the Diwali period so that people could breathe easy after the festival.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra on Friday attended Govardhan puja held at a site in Gurugram's Sector 12A where Muslim community people used to offer namaz every week.
The puja was organised by the Hindu outfit Sanyukt Hindu Sangharsh Samiti.
Delhi: 2 Civilians Injured As Fire Breaks Out In LPG Cylinder Shop
Fire broke out in LPG cylinder's shop due to blast in LPG cylinder, 5 personnel of fire brigade were injured and taken to GTB Hospital. Two civilians also got injured: Fire Department, Delhi
An incident of cylinder explosion occurred at a house in Jaffrabad area. Fire Department says that their four personnel were also injured in the fire that followed the explosion. Fire fighting operation is underway.
22 States, UTs Reduce VAT On Petrol Diesel Prices, 14 Haven't, Says Centre
Following the Government of India's decision to significantly reduce Central Excise Duty on petrol & diesel by Rs 5 & Rs 10 respectively, 22 states and UTs have also undertaken commensurate reduction of VAT on fuel prices, says Centre.
However, 14 states and UTs haven't undertaken any reduction.

No More Night Curfew In Karnataka As Bommai Govt Withdraws Restriction With Immediate Effect
Ending a months-long restriction, Karnataka government on Friday announced the removal of night curfew across the state. As per the announcement, the night curfew has been formally withdrawn with immediate effect.
