SCO Foreign Ministers Likely To Finalise 15 Proposals
Foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member countries today will finalize a set of 15 proposals for consideration at the SCO summit in July. These proposals aim to enhance cooperation among the member countries in areas such as trade, technology, commerce, security, and socio-cultural ties.
Friday's meeting, which will be chaired by India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, is taking place at the Taj Exotica resort in Goa's Benaulim. Foreign ministers from China, Russia, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan are among those attending, and the meeting is expected to finalize the inclusion of Kuwait, UAE, Myanmar, and the Maldives as dialogue partners in the SCO. The process of admitting Iran and Belarus as full members is also reaching its final stages.
In addition to these matters, the SCO foreign ministers are expected to discuss pressing global issues, including the crisis in Ukraine and the situation in Afghanistan. They will also assess the status of the decisions that will be approved at the SCO summit in New Delhi and discuss the state of multilateral cooperation in the SCO.
Punjab Govt To Launch 80 Mohalla Clinics
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal will dedicate 80 'Aam Aadmi Clinics' to the people of the state at an event in Ludhiana on Friday. This will bring the total number of operational 'Aam Aadmi Clinics' in the state to 580, which provide free and quality healthcare services. The first phase saw 100 clinics being inaugurated, followed by 404 in the second phase. These clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and have already benefited over 25.63 lakh patients from across the state. Additionally, 41 diagnostic tests are available for free and 80 drugs are being provided to patients without charge, including those for hypertension, diabetes, skin ailments and seasonal outbreaks. The clinics have also helped the government in preparing a database for combating prevalent diseases in the state.
Polls To Two Goa Municipal Councils To Be Held Today
Elections for the Sankhalim and Ponda municipal councils in Goa are scheduled for Friday, with vote counting taking place on Sunday. The official stated that there are 10 booths for the 10 wards in Sankhalim and 22 booths for the 13 wards in Ponda. For the Ponda Municipal Council, there are 43 candidates contesting, with two candidates elected unopposed, while 31 candidates are competing for the Sankhalim Municipal Council, with two elected unopposed as well.
Himachal Pradesh: Long Jam Occurs Following A Landslide In Mandi
Sagar Chander, ASP, Mandi said on Friday that a landslide occurred 5 kilometres away from Mandi and is one of the largest in this area. All light motor vehicles were diverted. There was a traffic jam involving 700-800 vehicles. This landslip occurred on May 5 at 1:00 a.m. There were no reported casualties.

India Closes Operation Kaveri, 3,862 People Rescued From Violence-Hit Sudan

Eight Terrorists Ready To Carry Out Attacks In Jammu And Kashmir: Sources
Following the recent spate of gunfights in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri sector, another major development has emerged from the region. According to ABP news sources, there are eight terrorists ready to attack in Jammu and Kashmir, four of whom have been trained by the terror organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba. Two of the eight terrorists are from Pakistan, and six of them received training in PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir). According to sources, the Pakistani army has provided these terrorists with arms.
