Revanth Reddy To Take Oath At Hyderabad's LB Stadium On Thursday

A. Revanth Reddy will take oath as the Telangana Chief Minister at L. B. Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday.

A few ministers are also likely to take oath along with him. The arrangements for the swearing-in were made at the Raj Bhavan on Monday but due to the delay in announcement by the Congress leadership, the plans were kept on hold.

The Congress on Tuesday evening announced that Revanth Reddy will be the Chief Minister and that he will take oath on December 7.

Revanth Reddy will be the second Chief Minister of Telangana. His predecessor K. Chandrashekar Rao had taken oath at Raj Bhavan in both 2014 and 2018.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari instructed the officials to make elaborate arrangements in a grand and befitting manner for the swearing-in ceremony. She held a meeting with the officials and reviewed the arrangements to be made in connection with the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister and council of ministers.

BJP Parliamentary Party To Meet On Thursday

The BJP Parliamentary Party will hold its first meeting during Parliament's Winter Session on Thursday and is likely to felicitate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for leading the party to massive wins in three assembly polls.

The BJP Parliamentary Party, which includes all its Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members, generally meets every week during the session. In the meetings, its leaders, including Modi, speak on different issues germane to the agenda in Parliament and also to its organisational and political campaigns.

Amit Shah To Inaugurate 69th ABVP National Conference On Thursday

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the 69th national conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on December 8, the students' union said. The national conference of the RSS-affiliated students' organisation is scheduled to be held till December 10.

Shah will inaugurate the 'Amrit Mahotsavi' National Conference at 11 am in the newly built tent city 'Indraprastha Nagar' at DDA Ground, Burari, in Delhi. Over 10,000 students from various states are expected to participate in this conference, the ABVP said. During the conference, discussions will be held on various issues related to the youth of the country, including education, environment, sports, arts, and current affairs. An exhibition named after the ABVP's founding member Duttaji Didolkar will also be held.

President Droupadi Murmu has accepted the resignations of Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel and Renuka Singh Saruta with immediate effect. 

She has directed Union Minister Arjun Munda to be assigned the charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.  

Union Minister Sushri Shobha Karandlaje has been assigned the charge of the Minister of State in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. 

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar to be assigned the charge of the Minister of State in Ministry of Jal Shakti and Dr Bharti Pravin Pawar to be assigned the charge of the Minister of State in Ministry of Tribal Affairs, in addition to their existing portfolio.
