Coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh: As they say, ‘What Goes around Comes around’ and a boy from Madhya Pradesh discovered this in a very hard way. Samir Khan from Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh is an avid Tik Tok video maker who has gone viral in social media. In one of the videos he trivializes the use of face masks to prevent getting infected by the virus and says instead one must just trust God.
In the video, Khan is seen seated with a long piece of white cloth. Someone asks him why is it that he is not wearing a mask when coronavirus is spreading everywhere. Khan replies by saying ‘Why should one trust a piece of cloth? If you want to put your faith on something, then put it on god almighty - Allah.’ He then throws the cloth away and happily walks, confident about his wise words.
Clearly, Khan underestimated the danger of the coronavirus infection because he soon became one of the earliest cases of coronavirus from Sagar. His Tik Tok video has also gone viral in social media, more so because Khan is now in the hospital wearing a mask. According to the most recent video that he uploaded Khan informed his followers that he will be unable to upload any more videos as the doctors have told him he is infected with coronavirus. He pleaded with his well-wishers to support and to pray for his speedy recovery.
As the number of coronavirus increases in India, it is necessary to remember that precautionary measures such as social distancing and face masks are the only ways of preventing an infection. Many states such as Delhi have also now made it compulsory to wear face masks in public spaces. While coronavirus impacts the elderly more, young people are also not completely free from getting infected. (Watch full report below)
