New Delhi: The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned sine die Thursday, a day before the culmination of Budget Session 2022.

The first half of the Budget session started on January 31 and concluded on February 11, while the second part of the Budget Session began on March 14 and was to conclude on April 8.
The second half of the budget saw some important bills being passed like the Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill, 2022, Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2022 among others.
While addressing the the Lok Sabha on the last day, Speaker Om Birla thanked all the members of the house and said that the current session was "going well with everyone's support".
"In this session, productivity has been 129 per cent, with everybody's participation...Productivity till the 8th session has been 106 per cent. Compared to the previous experiences, the ongoing session went well with everyone's support," Birla said, reported news agency ANI.
The Rajya Sabha clocked 99.80 per cent business during the Budget session, setting a record for the third-best performing session during the last 14 sessions since the Monsoon Session of 2017, reported ANI.
Some important decision were taken during the Budget Session 2022, which are listed below.
- Criminal Identification Amendment Bill was passed, which allows police to collect samples of a person’s biometric details if they have been arrested
- Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2022 was also passed in both the houses, which will unify the corporations in the national capital
- The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2022 was also passed in the Parliament
- The Appropriation Bill, 2022 was passed on march 24. This allows the government to withdraw Rs 122.43 lakh crore from the Consolidated Fund of India for implementation of programmes for the fiscal beginning April 1.
- The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2022 was passed by voice vote in both the houses of the Parliament
