'BJP, RSS Trying To Rekindle 90's Era Of Hatred': AIMIM Chief Owaisi On Survey Of Gyanvapi Mosque
Owaisi accused BJP and Sangh of rekindling "the era of hatred as the one in the 90s."
New Delhi: On Varanasi's court order on surveying some sections of the Gyanvapi mosque, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday accused BJP and RSS of rekindling "the era of hatred as the one in the 90s," news agency ANI reported.
"BJP should say if they accept Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991. It is BJP and Sangh that is focussing on this matter. They are trying to rekindle the era of hatred as the one in the 90s," AIMIM Chief was quoted by ANI on its official Twitter handle.

Earlier on Saturday, Owaisi claimed that the court's latest order on surveying some sections of the Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri complex "is opening the path for the bloodshed of Rath Yatra and anti-Muslim violence of 1980s-1990s."
Criticizing the court's directives, Owaisi tweeted, "This order to survey Kashi's Gyanvapi Masjid* is open violation of 1991 Places of Worship Act, which prohibits conversion of religious places. SC in Ayodhya judgement had said the Act protects “secular features of Indian polity which is 1 of basic features of Constitution.”
Unfortunate that the Court* is blatantly defying the SC. By this order, the Court is opening the path for the bloodshed of Rath Yatra and anti-Muslim violence of 1980s-1990s. 2/2

According to a court order, a court commissioner visited Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Gyanvapi Mosque to survey and videograph the premises. An official told PTI news agency that the videography-survey team did not go inside the Gyanvapi Masjid on Friday.
Rakhi Singh, Laxmi Devi, Sita Sahu, and others from Delhi submitted a petition seeking permission to worship and perform rituals at Shringar Gauri, Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman, and Nandi on the Gyanvapi mosque's outer wall.
Following the hearing, Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar of Varanasi ordered filming of the Shringar Gauri temple and other locations in the Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi mosque complex after Eid and before May 10.
