Bhopal Sex Racket: All About Accused Pyare Miyan, His Close Aides And SIT Probe In Minor Rape Case
A Bhopal based newspaper owner Pyare Miyan was on run after being accused of raping minor girls.
New Delhi: Special Investigation Team with the help of Jammu and Kashmir local police on Wednesday arrested Pyare Miyan, a Bhopal based newspaper owner who was on run after being accused of raping minor girls. The cops have arrested the accused Pyare, his manager and a woman who allegedly helped him procure the children. As per the latest updates, the Madhya Pradesh Police has reached there and will bring all the detainees to Bhopal soon.
A Hindustan Times report has mentioned that the accused is booked under section 366 (a) (procuration of minor girls), 376 (2) (n) (repeated rape), 120 b (criminal conspiracy) and sections 5/6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Sex Racket Busted On July 12 (Sunday)
The case came to light on Sunday, July 12 when five minor girls with age ranging from 14-17 years-old were found in an intoxicated state at about 3AM near Ratibad village on the outskirts of Bhopal.
According to the reports, the initial probe revealed that the girls were taken to a birthday party at an apartment by a 68-year-old Pyare Miyan who runs vernacular newspaper Dainik Afkar. One of the rescued girl told police that she was sexually abused while others revealed that the had gone to the apartment from time to time where they were sexually assaulted.
As mentioned in various media reports, the accused initially lured the poor girls from slum areas on the pretext of domestic help and then took him to rave parties and even foreign trips where the minor victims were assaulted and abused.
Soon, a case was registered against Pyare Miyan, his manger and the woman who helped getting him victims.

SIT Constituted To Investigate Case
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted on Tuesday to conduct investigation in the case. SIT was headed by South Bhopal SP Sai Krishna Thota and consisted of an Additional Superintendent of Police, a City Superintendent of Police, a Deputy Superintendent of Police and six police station incharges.
Earlier on Tuesday, news agency ANI quoted SP Krishna Thota who informed that two men and a man linked to Pyare Miyan have been made accused in the Bhopal sex racket case. Two luxury cars seized. Police conducted a raid at two of his apartments where a pub was set up. A huge cache of liquor has been sized from there
The girls address Pyare Miyan as 'abbu'. Some girls have revealed that he took girls to foreign countries. The accused keeps on traveling to foreign countries. He has visited Dubai, Singapore and Thailand. He has been involved in such activities for past 7-8 years. We've issued a lookout notice for him, SP said.
Meanwhile, Bhopal administration razed two illegal properties- a marriage hall and an apartment- which were built on a government land by Miyan.
