Asaduddin Owaisi’s Delhi Residence Vandalised By Members Of Hindu Sena, 5 Detained

New Delhi: Five people reportedly from Hindu Sena were detained by Delhi Polie on Tuesday evening for allegedly vandalising All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi's house located in the national capital.
According to reports, at least seven to eight people arrived at Owaisi's resident at 34 Ashoka Road and broke the nameplate, lamp and window glass outside his bungalow.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Deepak Yadav said five people were detained for their alleged involvement in the incident
It is being said that Owaisi was not inside the bungalow when the incident took place.
Bungalow's caretaker Deepa told ABP News that there were 7 to 8 attackers who even raising slogans and threw bricks inside the house.
Soon after the incident was reported, Delhi Police detained 5 people. Delhi Police officials say that people in custody are being questioned. It is being investigated which organisation they are associated with.
Lately, Owaisi has been trying to expand its base in the national capital, and has started to strengthen its organisational structure here.
According to reports, the AIMIM in Delhi is trying to forge an alliance with the Scheduled Caste community and make a Dalit-Muslim combination in the national capital.
The party plans to contest 70 seats in the 272 wards of the MCD in Delhi and will give 30 seats to the Scheduled Caste members of the party. It plans to contest in those wards where the Muslim voters are more than 5,000.

Even in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, AIMIM has been trying to strengthen its base with Owaisi holding rallies in different parts of the state which is all set to go for Assembly polls in early 2022.
Owaisi was recently booked for allegedly trying to spoil communal harmony through a provocative speech in Barabanki district.
In his speech, Owaisi alleged that the administration had earlier this year "martyred" a century-old mosque. According to UP Police, he also used indecent language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
AIMIM has been firm on contesting 100 out of 403 Assembly seats. "We will contest 100 seats in the upcoming UP assembly elections. We are not slaves and we will work for our own welfare now," he said earlier this month in Lucknow.
