Andhra CM Naidu Meets Union Minister Nitin Gadkari In Delhi To Discuss Enhanced Road Connectivity

Chandrababu Naidu also met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday discussing various state issues, including the revised cost estimates for the Polavaram Project.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Union Minister for Roads and Transport, Nitin Gadkari, in New Delhi to discuss enhancing connectivity from the state capital Amaravati to all districts. This meeting was part of a series of high-level discussions as Naidu sought to secure key infrastructure projects for Andhra Pradesh.

On Tuesday, Naidu is scheduled to meet Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Hardeep Singh Puri.

On Monday, Naidu met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and emphasised the importance of establishing a new Railway Zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters. In a post on social media platform X, Naidu expressed his gratitude to the Railway Minister, stating, "I thanked him for taking forward the long-pending assurance of the establishment of a Railway Zone with Vizag as Headquarters. I am hopeful that the foundation stone for the new zone will be laid by December."

"The Hon'ble Minister has informed that Railways is investing ₹73,743 Cr in various infrastructure projects across Andhra Pradesh. These projects include 4-laning of the Howrah-Chennai stretch in AP, modernising 73 stations and introducing more local trains," he said.  

In another key development, Naidu also met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday discussing various state issues, including the revised cost estimates for the Polavaram Project. Naidu expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the Cabinet's approval of these revisions and support for Amaravati as the state capital.

"Had a fruitful meeting with the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. @narendramodi ji in New Delhi today. I thanked him for the Cabinet approval of revised cost estimates of the Polavaram Project and apprised him of developments in Andhra Pradesh," Naidu posted on X.
