“I assure you that the next CM of Bengal will definitely be a son of the soil when the BJP comes to power next year. The next CM nominee will be a Bengali only," Shah said while addressing mediapersons in Bolpur.
He claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party will form the next government in the state with more than 200 assembly seats. He said that many people were now joining the party in Bengal to voice their protests against the Mamata Banerjee-led state government's "misrule".
"People of West Bengal are yearning for change as they want to get rid of political violence, corruption, extortion and Bangladeshi infiltration," Shah said addressing the gathering at Bolpur.
Amid much fanfare, Shah led a grand roadshow in Birbhum district starting from Hanuman Mandir on the Stadium Road in Bolpur and ended at the eBolpur Circle.
Attacking Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee repeatedly, Shah said that the TMC party is now characterized by "corruption, extortion, and Bangladeshi infiltration" patronised by "bhatija".
Shah also alleged that political violence was at its peak in Bengal and more than 300 BJP workers had been killed. He said that TMC leaders must not think that BJP will stop due to such attacks.
He also condemned in strict words, the attack on BJP President JP Nadda's convoy, during his Bengal tour recently.
