ABP-CVoter Snap Poll: Will India Hosting G20 Summit Benefit The Common Man? Here's What Voters Say
ABP News, in association with CVoter, conducted a snap poll, to gauge the public opinion on the G20 Summit being hosted by India and whether it will benefit the common man.
ABP CVoter Snap Poll 2023: India is hosting the 18th G20 Summit in New Delhi on September 9 and 10. Representatives of the member nations, invited countries and international organisations arrived in the national capital to take part on discussions pertaining to key global, economic and geopolitical issues being faced by the world. ABP News, in association with CVoter, conducted a snap poll, to gauge the public opinion on the mega global event being held in the country and whether it will benefit the common man.
To a question on whether the G20 Summit will benefit the common man, 44.8% of the total respondents asserted that it will be beneficial for every citizen to a great extent, while 17.5% said the global meet will benefit the people to some extent. Another 27.2% of the people surveyed chose to disagree while 10.4% said they did not have an opinion.

Ahead of the mega event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an interview, had said that “By 2047, India will become a developed nation and corruption, casteism, and communalism would end in the country.” Asked if they agreed to the Prime Minister’s statement, 45.7% of the respondents said they completely agree, 15.6% said they agree but not entirely, 34.6% said they were not on the same page, while 4% of those surveyed said they did not have any opinion on the subject.
To a question on whether hosting the G20 Summit has elevated India’s stature before a wider global audience, 64.8% of the respondents gave an affirmative nod, while 16.6% said they did not agree. Another 18.6% of the people surveyed chose not to comment.
Asked if the G20 Summit will make New Delhi’s bid for a permanent membership of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) stronger, 59.3% of the respondents said yes it will, while 19.7% said they did not agree. Another 21% of the people surveyed said they did not have an opinion on the topic.
