Three people have been arrested for allegedly duping Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter of Rs. 34,000 in online fraud. The accused arrested by the Delhi Police have been identified as Kapil, Sajid and Manvinder.

Kejriwal’s daughter was duped of Rs 34,000 by one of the accused, who had approached her as a buyer on e-commerce platform OLX where she had put up a sofa on sale.

As per the complaint lodged earlier at north Delhi’s Civil Lines Police Station, Kejriwal’s daughter was approached by a man who showed interest in making the purchase. He initially transferred a minimal amount into her account to check if the account details shared by her were correct. The man then sent a QR code to the Chief Minister’s daughter and asked her to scan it so that the amount fixed could be transferred but instead Rs 34,000 was debited from her account.
