Delhi: 11-year-old girl raped in Rohini’s ESI Hospital by housekeeping staff

A case has been registered at KN Katju Marg Police Station and the accused has been arrested.

NEW DELHI: In yet another case of sexual molestation, an 11-year-old-girl was allegedly raped in by housekeeping staffer in Rohini's ESI Hospital on Friday. The girl had gone to the hospital for medical treatment and was admitted their when the alleged incident of rape took place. The police have been successfully able to arrest the housekeeping staffer named Radeishyam.  A case has also been registered at KN Katju Marg Police Station. Around 4.30 am on Friday, the accused took advantage of the wee hours and raped the 11-year-old girl in the hospital. The incidents of rape and sexual abuse in India are on a new high where an alarming number of cases are being reported every day. On Thursday, two minor girls were allegedly raped by a man and a 17-year-old boy on Sunday and one of them died of injuries inflicted during the assault days later. The accused was later booked under IPC sections 376 (rape) and 363 (kidnapping), and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO).
