Coronavirus Pandemic: All Delhi Malls To Remain Closed, Vegetable And Medical Stores Exempt, Announces CM Kejriwal
Coronavirus pandemic - The Delhi Health Department said as on Thursday, 9,797 passengers were home-quarantined in Delhi, while 57 are under Quarantine at government facilities.
Coronavirus LIVE: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced closing down of all malls in the city except grocery, pharmacy and vegetable shops in them. He has urged people to avoid panic buying while urging them to remain cautious and opt to work from home.
Kejriwal explained that there are only two ways through which coronavirus can be spread and escalate.
He had also appealed to the people to avoid hoarding.
Earlier on Thursday, he announced shutting down of all the restaurants with immediate effect, but kept the option open for takeaway food and home delivery till March 31 to check the spread of coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Metor services will also be stalled for the entire day on Sunday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday had urged the people of the country to opt for a 'Janata Curfew' on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Lt Governor Anil Baijal Baijal yesterday chaired a meeting at Raj Niwas to review the preparedness to contain coronavirus. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Cabinet Ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, and other officials attended the meeting.
