The President's Bodyguard (PBG), established in 1773, stands as the senior-most regiment in the Indian Army, undertaking ceremonial responsibilities for the President of India. Renowned for their expertise in horsemanship, tank operations, and parachuting, PBG personnel embody a multifaceted skill set.
Republicans Plan Stopgap Measure to Avoid Government Shutdown
Republicans in control of the U.S. House of Representatives are gearing up to unveil a stopgap spending measure on Saturday, Reuters reported. The primary objective is to prevent a partial government shutdown by maintaining the operational status of federal agencies beyond the current funding expiration on the upcoming Friday. PM Modi's Public Meeting in Telangana's Secunderabad

Sub-inspector arrested, sacked for minor’s rape in Rajasthan
Officials on Saturday stated that a police sub-inspector suspected of raping a juvenile girl in Rajasthan's Dausa district had been fired and detained after a complaint was filed against him under relevant laws, including the POCSO Act and the SC/ST Act, news agency PTI reported. DGP Umesh Mishra stated in a statement that IG (Jaipur range) Umesh Datta fired Sub-Inspector Bhupendra Singh on Saturday. On Friday, he said, he received orders to fire him.
