Bharat Bandh Over Demand Of Caste-Based Census
The All India Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation (BAMCEF) has called a Bharat Bandh on May 25 (Wednesday) over the Centre not conducting a caste-based census for the Other Backward Classes (OBC), said Saharanpur District President of Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP). In Uttar Pradesh, Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP) Saharanpur district president Neeraj Dhiman said, Bharat Bandh has been called because the central government has refused to conduct a caste-based census of other backward castes.
Gyanvapi Mosque Case: District Court To Decide On Maintainability
In the Shringar Gauri-Gyanvapi case, the District Judge's court on Tuesday has given the date of May 26 in the Gyanvapi Masjid case. The hearing on the maintainability of the suit will also start from this day itself. Meanwhile, the International General Secretary of Vishwa Vedic Sanatan Sangh, Kiran Singh, has filed a petition before the Civil Judge Senior Division demanding a ban on the entry of the Muslim side into the Gyanvapi Masjid premises. It covers three main points. Under this, the matter of barring the entry of Muslims from Gyanvapi Masjid has been kept. While accepting the suit, it has been ordered to hear the matter on May 25.
Visa Scam Case: Karti Chidambaram Likely To Appear Before CBI
Congress MP Karti Chidambaram is likely to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday for cooperation in the investigation in the alleged visa scam, said Officials.
The case dates back to 2011 when 263 Chinese nationals were allegedly issued visas when Karti Chidambaram's father P. Chidambaram was the Home Minister. Karti, who has been on a tour of Britain and Europe with the permission of the Supreme Court and a special CBI court, was scheduled to return on Tuesday. As per the order of the CBI special court, Karti has to join the CBI investigation within 16 hours of his return.
