12 Dead In Rain-Related Incidents In Last 24 Hours
Twelve people were killed in rain-related incidents and three died fires in the last 24 hours, the state relief commissioner's office said here on Wednesday. Currently, seven districts (out of 75) -- Ayodhya, Ballia, Lakhimpur Kheri, Farrukhabad, Sitapur, Bahraich and Hardoi are affected by floods in the state. Relief and rescue operations are underway, it said. Four deaths were reported in Chandauli, three each in Banda and Gautam Buddha Nagar, two in Prayagraj, one each in Pratapgarh, Gonda and Etawah.

Delhi LG Saxena Convenes Meeting Of Senior Management Of 21 Coaching Centres
Delhi LG VK Saxena convened a meeting on Tuesday with senior management of over 21 private coaching institutes, including their federation, senior officers of GNCTD, VC DDA and representatives of students. Delhi LG has directed that Chief Secretary will head a committee comprising 5-6 representatives of coaching institutions, representatives of students and officials of concerned departments. This committee will comprehensively address all the issues related to regulation, exorbitant rental by landlords, fire clearances, desilting of drains and other immediate needs of the students to create a conducive educational environment fulfilling all parameters.
