Presidential Poll 2022 Results To Be Announced

The name of the 15th President of the country will come in front of the people of the country tomorrow i.e. on Thursday, July 21. MPs and MLAs across the country cast their votes on July 18 to elect the next President. The counting of which will start at 11 am in Parliament House. The election results are likely to be declared by evening. 

Draupadi Murmu is from the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) while Yashwant Sinha is the candidate from several opposition parties. If Murmu wins, she will become the country's first tribal woman president.

The term of the current President of the country, Ram Nath Kovind, will end on July 24 and the new President will take oath on July 25. Ballot papers from all the states have been brought to the Parliament House. Election officials are ready for counting votes in room number 63 of Parliament. 

With Sonia Gandhi Set To Appear Before ED For Questioning, Congress To Stage Protests

Enforcement Directorate (ED) will question Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case. At the same time, the Congress party will protest against it across the country. According to sources, the Congress has called a meeting of senior leaders on Thursday morning in view of the appearance of Sonia Gandhi, in which the further strategy will be decided, as reported by news agency PTI.

“The entire Congress family is standing firmly with its President Sonia Gandhi and tomorrow a protest against the dictatorial rule of BJP will be lodged in the whole country,” the party said on its Twitter handle.
