Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the stone pelting incident of Vande Bharat train happened in Bihar and not Bengal.
"Maybe the people of Bihar are upset as they haven't got a Vande Bharat train. They have not got a train because they are not with BJP... Those who are trying to spread fake news, strict action will be taken against them," she said.

PM Modi To Participate In All-India Water Ministers' Meet
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday will speak at the all-India water ministers' meet on the theme "Water Vision@2047," which brings together key policymakers to discuss "ways to harness water resources for sustainable development," reported news agency PTI.
From January 5 to 6, the Union Jal Shakti Ministry will hold a national conference on the water with the title "Water Vision@2047" in Bhopal.
PM Modi stated that he would speak at the conference on Thursday.
“At around 9:45 am tomorrow, 5th January, I will be sharing my remarks at the all-India water ministers meet on the theme 'Water Vision@2047.' This forum brings together key policymakers to discuss ways to harness water resources for sustainable development and human progress,” he said in a tweet.
According to a statement from the ministry, the primary objective of the two-day 'All India Annual State Ministers Conference on Water' is to gather inputs from various state stakeholders for the "5P" vision and India@2047, as well as to improve engagement and partnership with the states and share the government's initiatives and plans.
SC To Hear Plea Against Removal Of Encroachments In Haldwani
A petition challenging the Uttarakhand High Court's order to remove encroachments from 29 acres of railway land in Haldwani will be heard by the Supreme Court on Thursday, reported PTI.
After advocate Prashant Bhushan mentioned the matter, a bench consisting of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, Justices S A Nazeer, and P S Narasimha posted the matter for hearing.
Bhushan argued that the case involving the demolition of over 5,000 Haldwani homes is comparable to the one that will be heard on Thursday.
The apex court consented to label the matter and posted the matter for hearing on Thursday.
Earlier, Haldwani residents had petitioned the highest court regarding the matter.
