Bumrah Injury: Jasprit Bumrah faced a massive injury concern on Day 2 of the India vs Australia Sydney Test on January 4 (Saturday) as he was seen leaving the field in his training gear and heading to the hospital for precautionary scans. While, his absence from the Indian bowling attack for the rest of the day's play did not cost the visitors much as Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj and Nitish Reddy joined hands to bundle Australia out for 181 runs.

Bumrah, who is the stand-in captain after Rohit Sharma stood down from the match, initially left the field at the lunch break on Saturday and returned after the interval to bowl a single over. However, he walked off the field mid-play once again and after a half-hour absence, he was taken for scans. In Bumrah's absence, Virat Kohli assumed the role of on-field captain for India.
