Today is the third anniversary of the Balakot airstrikes. On February 14, Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) targeted a CRPF convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Pulwama in South Kashmir killing 40 CPRF personnel. Days later, IAF launched an airstrike on a JeM camp in Balakot in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. The airstrike was launched in the early hours of February 26 and Pakistan's efforts to launch an offensive the next day to target Indian military installations in Jammu and Kashmir were thwarted by an alert IAF.
A meeting of the Gupkar alliance is going to be held in Srinagar today weeks after the Delimitation Commission presented its interim report. This will be the first meeting of the alliance in which the political situation in the state, the proposal of the Delimitation Commission, and the possible elections and the situation in the state will be discussed.
The meeting is expected to take place at PDP President Mehbooba Mufti's residence.
In Jammu and Kashmir, all mainstream parties, except the BJP, have rejected the draft resolution of the Delimitation Commission, saying the commission has not followed the criteria set by itself for the exercise. National Conference MPs are associate members of the Delimitation Commission. Raising questions on the basis of the delimitation exercise, NC said that the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act has been challenged in the Supreme Court.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is set to attend the 98th Convocation of Delhi University as Chief Guest - Delhi University has organised its 98th Convocation today. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the event as the chief guest. Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Professor Yogesh Singh will preside over the programme. Notably, at its 97th convocation last year, the university had become the first institution in the country to confer "digital degrees" to 1,78,719 students.
Army Chief General MM Naravane will inaugurate 'Design Week' on Defence, Aeronautical Sector by Karnavati University on the theme of Design and Innovation in Defense and Aeronautical Sector do. The university is organising the third edition of the 'Design Week' on the theme Design and Innovation in Defense and Aeronautics which is in line with the Centre's mission of achieving India's self-reliance in defense manufacturing, the official release said. Karnavati University President Ritesh Hada said that the event will be an opportunity to encourage innovators to explore possibilities in the defense sector. Along with General Naravane, Director General-Technology Management, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) Hari Babu Srivastava will also be present at the inauguration ceremony.

Wearing Masks In Private Cars Not Mandatory In Delhi From Monday
