PM Modi More Popular Than Meloni, Biden. Tops 'Global Leader Approval' List 2023
Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued to be one of the most prominent leaders worldwide, surpassing US President Joe Biden, UK PM Rishi Sunak, and Australian PM Anthony Albanese. According to a survey conducted by a US-based consultancy firm, Morning Consult, a whopping 76 per cent of people in India approve PM Modi's leadership while 18 per cent expressed disapproval.
In the same survey, Australian PM Albanese scored 47 per cent, while Italian PM Giorgia was at 41 per cent and Joe Biden at 37 per cent.
Gujarat's Garba Dance Earns UNESCO's 'Intangible Cultural Heritage' Tag
The famous Gujarati traditional dance, Garba, has secured its spot in UNESCO's list of 'Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity' (ICHH). Describing Garba as a "ritualistic and devotional dance" dedicated to the worship of the feminine energy or "Shakti", the dance form is the 15th element from India to be included in the Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
"Garba fosters social equality by diluting socio-economic, gender and religious structures. It continues to be inclusive of diverse and marginalised communities, thus strengthening social bonds," the United Nations body said.

The alert was issued by the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission under the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare after a preliminary analysis revealed some adverse drug reactions caused by mefenamic acid, a medicine sold under the brand name Meftal.
Love-Struck Pakistani Woman Crosses Border To Marry Kolkata Man, Thanks Govt
In yet another story of love-knows-no-boundary, a Pakistani woman visited India to marry her fiance in Kolkata. Javeria Khanum, a resident of Karachi entered the Wagah-Attari International Border in the Amritsar district on Tuesday and was welcomed by her fiance Sameer Khan and some members of his family to the beats of 'dhol'.
The woman has been granted a visa of 45 days after two of her previous visa requests were rejected and Covid-19 pandemic stalled her plans for around 5 years.
Caught On Camera: UP Cop Mistakenly Shoots Woman In Head Inside Police Station
A woman was "mistakenly" shot in the head by a cop in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh who went to a police station for passport verification. CCTV footage of the incident emerged where the woman could be seen standing inside the police station when a police officer arrived and handed sub-inspector Manoj Sharma a pistol. A gunshot was fired at the woman while he was cleaning the pistol, causing her to fall to the ground.
The woman was rushed to JN Medical College for treatment where her condition was said to be critical, according to an NDTV report.
