1. Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu:

Kodaikanal has shouting traces to its British colonial past. Lakes like Kodaikanal Lake and Bryant Park were set up during the British colonial rule, and remain today as some of the most important landmarks. So much the peaceful environment, developments laid during the British era speak of its historical value.

The Tea Museum in Munnar offers an insight into the city during colonial times; it serves as a museum for the history of tea cultivation. Visitors can visit the plantations and learn about the region's cultural heritage while enjoying the beauty of its green landscape.

Chikmagalur is a picturesque hill station famous for its colonial coffee estates. Colonial-style bungalows reflect the coffee cultivation history of the area. The plantations can be visited, where a lot to learn about the history is. It is a peaceful getaway with a blend of nature and culture.

Coonoor is a small place beyond Ooty, famous for its colonial architecture and tranquillity. The Nilgiri Mountain Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, creates a nostalgic touch to the locality. This little town boasts some quaint older homes and gardens that hark back to its colonial pasts. It is a sound destination for history and nature lovers.

6. Araku Valley, Andhra Pradesh:

Araku Valley is one such hill station that is absolutely blessed with nature's beauty steered by promising tribal culture along with having a somewhat colonial past while being a coffee-producing area. The visitors will allow themselves to witness the beautiful coffee plantations and know some traditional local practices.
