'Pumped Up To Host My Dance Workshop In Paris': Shehzaan Khan On His Cannes Debut

Shehzaan Khan is making his debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Not only will he be in attendance, but he will also be conducting his dance workshops there.

The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival is being held on the French Riviera from May 14, with India set to make its mark on the canvas of the prestigious film festival. Along with 7 Indian films being a part of the prestigious global event, India will also be represented by actors and social media influencers alike. Amid global luminaries, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rahi Chadda, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Viraj Ghelani and many others from India will also be gracing the red carpet.

In addition to all of them, Shehzaan Khan, who is popularly known as the National Patiala boy, is making his debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year. Not only will he be in attendance, but he will also be conducting his dance workshops there. Having a base of 665K followers on Instagram, Shehzaan is all set to make waves with his dance moves on the global platform.

To know more about his plans, ABP Live had a conversation with him over email where he talked about all that he looks forward to at the festival.

  • Known as 'National Patiala Boy,' your dance style has gained immense popularity across countries. How does it feel to represent your content on such a prestigious platform?

It's truly humbling to see how my dance has resonated with people from different parts of the world. Being able to represent my content at a prestigious platform like the Cannes Festival is a dream come true and a win in itself for me!

  • What are you most looking forward to at the festival? 

I'm most looking forward to experiencing the exciting atmosphere of the Cannes Festival firsthand, where filmmakers, artists, and performers from around the world will come together to celebrate cinema and the arts. I am also very pumped up to host my dance workshop in Paris!

  • Can you share any tips for fellow dancers who dream of making it big on the international stage like you? 

For my aspiring fellow dancers, my advice would be to stay true to yourself and your own style. Stay authentic and never shy away from experimenting with new ideas. 

  • ⁠In addition to this, do you have any plans to network with other artists and creators there?

I'm definitely looking forward to connecting with other artists from around the world. I'm excited to meet and learn from so many talented people! Absolutely can't wait to meet the participants who will be attending my workshop in Paris. Interacting with them is always a highlight for me.
