According to Hindi Panchang, the third Monday of Sawan is the beginning of Ashlesha Nakshatra. This Ashlesha nakshatra will last till 09.05 am. Today is the second date after Shukla paksha's pratipada. Today Abhijit muhurta will be from 11.37 pm to 12.30 pm. In astrology, it is considered to be the best time to worship in this muhurta.

Today's Rahukal- Today on 9th August, the time of Rahukal is from 07.30 am to 09.09 am. Rahukal is considered an inauspicious muhurat of for worship. Thus, it is forbidden to worship Shiva during Rahukal.
