How To Break The Fast In A Healthy Manner:

Gayatri Chona, who is a Nutritionist, wellness coach, and the founder of healthy snacking company phab shared tips on how to break the fast in a healthy manner:

  • Breaking the fast with liquids such as water, herbal teas, or fresh fruit juices aids in priming the digestive system and helps in preventing overeating later. While the impulse might be to indulge in and treat yourself to a large meal after fasting, doing so could negate the benefits the fast offers to your body's well-being.
  • Avoid heavy, greasy foods that can cause discomfort and bloating.
  • Instead of opting for a grand feast with numerous food items, consider indulging in two or three preferred choices. This prevents overwhelming your digestive system.
  • Gradually rehydrate with water, herbal teas, or natural juices after breaking the fast. Additionally, take breaks to rest and relax, and practise mindfulness and deep breathing to reduce stress and fatigue.
