The leopard attack has come at a time when a 21-year-old student was mauled to death by a leopard near T Narasipura of Mysuru in Karnataka.
Chennai: A leopard attacked a biker and some other people at Kanaka Nagar in Mysuru. The victims who were attacked are stable and out of danger.
According to ANI, “A leopard entered the Kanaka Nagar of Mysuru & attacked some people, he was later captured & rescued by the forest department.”

On Friday, the leopard created a commotion and unleashed an attack on the villagers. The leopard first tried to prey on a stray dog and it jumped on the dog. However, the villagers immediately noticed it and got panicked.
The leopard on sensing this suddenly jumped over a building. It then chased a biker and brought him down, as per the video.
The forest staffer who was attacked by the leopard is undergoing treatment for his minor injuries. The biker is also hospitalised. The biker sustained injuries since the leopard attacked him while he was driving and brought him down.

After the death of a student, the police started conducting awarness campaign to the public on how to avoid the man-animal conflict which is quite frequently reported in Mysuru and Mandya districts.
They are also keeping a close watch on the sensitive areas to avoid any untoward events. They have also insisted people to not walk alone in the late evening or early mornings since leopards are likely to roam at those hours.
The incident reportedly took place in a forest area in a hillock.
In the last three month, the forest department reportedly saved 14 leopard and two of them were from Mandya district.
