On Wednesday, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah penned a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to revoke the Diplomatic Passport of the JD(S) MP. Additionally, he called for swift and coordinated efforts to ensure the MP's repatriation to India.

"Shameful that Prajwal Revanna...fled the country on 27th April 2024 to Germany using his diplomatic passport shortly after news of his heinous actions emerged and just a few hours before the first FIR was filed against him," the letter read.

Earlier, a court issued an arrest warrant for him, while Interpol issued a Blue Corner Notice to gather information on his whereabouts.

Meanwhile, Karnataka government has established a Special Investigation Team to lookout for Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister and Janata Dal patriarch HD Deve Gowda.

Prajwal's father, HD Revanna, has been accused of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation.
