The hospital management has also come under fire for alleged negligence as the backup generator has been non-functional for almost a week. The power supply was disrupted due to the intense rainfall, as reported by Times of India.

In September 2022, a hospital in Uttar Pradesh faced a blackout during heavy rain, prompting doctors to carry out patient examinations using mobile torch lights. The incident occurred at a hospital in the Balia district, where patients endured over an hour of treatment under the illumination of mobile torches.

Footage of the event depicted a scene where numerous individuals gathered around a woman on a stretcher with one person holding up a mobile phone to provide light while a doctor conducted an examination.

However, the state government did not comment on both the incidents.
