The daughter of BJP leader and MLA Aravind Nimbavali reportedly argued with the police over the traffic rule violation.
New Delhi: The daughter of senior BJP leader and MLA Aravind Nimbavali allegedly misbehaved with traffic police after she jumped a red signal in a BMW on Thursday. According to reports, the BJP MLA's daughter was driving a white BMW when she allegedly did not obey the traffic rules as she refused to stop as the traffic light turned red. She is also accused of misbehaving with a local journalist and a cameraperson who recorded the incident.
The MLA's daughter argued with the cops over the traffic rule violation.
"I want to go now. Don't hold the car. You can't put a case on me for overtaking. This is MLA vehicle. We haven't driven rash. My father is Aravind Limbavali," she was heard arguing in the video, as quoted by India Today.

The traffic police personnel then showed her the evidence and collected Rs 10,000 fine.
In the heated argument, she had demanded to be sent home while claiming she did not have money to pay the fine right away, India Today's report mentioned.
After this, a friend who accompanied her paid the fine and they were let go. The video of the incident has since gone viral.
The BJP MLA's daughter was also not wearing the seatbelt, NDTV reported sources as saying. It further cited a police officer as saying that she had pending fines of Rs 9,000 and she was fined Rs 1,000 for the traffic rule violation on Thursday for "reckless driving".
State Home Minister Araga Jnanendra reacted to the incident by saying, "This was a case of rash driving, she (MLA Aravind Limbavali's daughter) was stopped by police. Her friend was driving the car, they paid a fine and went", ANI reported.
