Encounter between security forces, terrorists underway in J-K's Shopian

Shopian (Jammu and Kashmir) [India] Jan. 24 (ANI): Security forces are engaged in an encounter with the terrorists in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian Army's 44 Rashtriya Rifles, 14th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Shopian Police are engaged in a fierce encounter in Dairoo's Chaigund in Shopian district of South Kashmir.

At the time of filing this report, cordon and search operation was underway in the area. Additional troops also joined the operation.
