Vaccine Update: More Than 2.60 Crores Covid Jabs Left With States And UT's

As per the Union Health Ministry, more than 2 crores 60 lakh vaccine doses are left with the states. There are 2,60,12,352 doses of corona vaccines available with the states which are to be given. 

The central government has given 42 crores 15 lakh corona vaccine doses to the states and union territories, out of which more than 39 crores 55 lakh doses have been given to the people. As per Union Health Ministry, more than 2 crores 60 lakh vaccine doses are left with the states. 

State-Wise Data Of Vaccines: Data released by the Union Health Ministry, 42,15,43,730 vaccine doses have been given to the states and union territories by the Government of India through the free channel and direct state procurement category so far. A total of 39,55,31,378 doses have been given till 8 am on July 19, including medical wastage. At the same time, 2,60,12,352 doses of corona vaccine are available with the states which are to be given. 

40 Crore Doses Administered

40,64,81,493 vaccine doses have been given in India to date. A total of 32,29,44,436 people have been given the first dose, while 8,35,37,057 people have been given both doses. 

Total Vaccines Administered: 1,02,69,922 healthcare workers have received the first dose. 75,52,270 healthcare workers have received both doses. 1,77,95,125 frontline workers have received the first dose and 1,03,66,268 healthcare workers have received both doses. About 12,50,80,488 people have received the first dose in the age group of 18 to 44.

At the same time, 49,07,782 people have got both doses. 9,76,43,768 people in the age group of 45 to 59, have got the first dose, and 2,93,47,090 people have got both doses. 721,55,133 people above 60 years have received the first dose, and 3,13,63,647 people have received both doses. 

The nationwide vaccination campaign was launched on January 16, and vaccination of frontline workers started on February 2. The next phase of corona vaccination started on March 1, in which people above 60 years of age, and people above 45 years of age with serious illness, were vaccinated. At the same time, vaccination was started for every person above 45 years of age from April 1.

Vaccination of people in the age group of 18 to 44 years started from May 1. Whereas, from June 21 free vaccination was provided to everyone above 18 years.
