Headache Or Migraine? Know The difference And How To Manage The Condition With Lifestyle Changes

New Delhi: There are many health complications which may arise out of nowhere and headache is one such disorder that cause painful symptoms in the head. All of us must have experienced headache at some point in our lives. Headache disorders include headaches and migraine. But there are times when it becomes difficult for us to distinguish between the two disorders.

A migraine is typically a chronic condition and seen as a common headache problem.

How to differentiate between headache and migraine?

When you suffer from headache you will experience pain in the head, face, or upper neck, which can vary in frequency and intensity, according to Medical News Today.

There are different types of headaches, which have been classified by experts into two main groups — primary and secondary. Primary headaches refer to independent conditions that cause pain in the head, face, or neck. Primary headaches can be experienced in the form of migraines and tension headaches.

How can you avoid regular headache?

You can avoid regular headaches by making certain changes in your lifestyle. Some of the lifestyle changes include eating healthy, fix your posture while at work, coping with stress, avoid smoking and maintaining a sleep schedule.

Most of the time poor postures put you at the risk of developing headaches. Esure that you dont hunching shoulders or sit in sloppy postures because it can put strain on your head, neck and shoulders. This can be teh reason for tension headaches. Keep checking your posture at the time of work. Always keep your spine erect, and laptop at the level of your eyes and shoulders straight.

Also, control the stress as it can contribute to tension and migraine headaches. You can practice meditation, breathing exercises, yoga or even a small walk in the middle of the day to clam your mind and manage the stress hormones. Moreover, ensure that you get proper sleep because cutting down on sleep may trigger headaches. Always try to stick to your sleeping routine to avoid any such complains.
