With Spike In Covid-19 Cases Delhi Witnesses Peak In Second Wave Of Infections, Experts Revealed: CM Kejriwal

Delhi Minister Arvind Kejriwal spoke about the sharp rise in Covid-19 cases and talked about the meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that according to experts, the national capital is witnessing the second wave of coronavirus which is currently at its peak. US Drugmaker Kicks Off Final Trial CM Arvind Kejriwal was speaking at a programme in PUSA (Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University). "From July 1 to August 17, cases were in control. We noticed that cases increased and we reached 4,500 new Covid-19 cases on September 17 which are now coming down. So experts believe that the second wave of coronavirus has hit Delhi which is now at peak and its intensity will decline in the coming days," he said.
The Delhi CM also talked about the high-level virtual review meeting held by Prime Minister Modi to review the Covid-19 response and management in states. He said that the meeting was fruitful. "When new Covi-19 cases were reported in large numbers, we had controlled the coronavirus cases with the help of central government, NGO and Delhites. I want to thank everyone for their efforts. As a responsible government, we had increased daily testing from 20,000 to 60,000," he said. As per the Union Health Ministry, there are 30,836 active Coronavirus cases in Delhi.
