Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Deblina Chatterjee aka Gayu QUITS the show

Deblina Chatterjee, who played the role of Gayu in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has quit the show.

New Delhi: Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their television sets with its drama-packed episodes. The show starring Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in the respective roles of Naira and Kartik is doing quite well in terms of TRPs. We had earlier informed you that ‘Yeh Rishta’ will soon take a five-year leap and Kartik and Naira will get separated. Few kids will enter the show after the leap takes place. The beautiful actress has out down her papers and also has stopped shooting for the show from last week, a report in a leading daily said. (Deblina with her Yeh Rishta co-stars) Deblina was not comfortable playing the role of a mother and the leap required her to essay a mother of a five-year-old kid in the show. Gayu is currently shown as pregnant in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. Gayu’s pregnancy created a lot of drama in the show and Dadi (Swati Chitnis) was against her marriage with Kartik’s youngest uncle Samarth played by Samir Onkar.

The makers are currently busy looking for the perfect replacement for Deblina. The actress confirmed the news of leaving the show while talking to the daily. “Yes, I have quit the show, but I don’t want to comment on it further,” Deblina told Times Of India. (Deblina with her YRKKH co-stars) Deblina had earlier replaced Kanchi Singh in ‘Yeh Rishta’ as the new Gayu. (Kanchi as Gayu in Yeh Rishta) Before Deblina, Parul Chauhan had quit the show because she was not willing to play a grandmother. She essayed the role of Suvarna in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'.
