‘Was never GHUNGHAT WALI BAHU’ says Saath Nibhana Sathiya actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee

New Delhi: It’s been a year that Star Plus show ‘Saathiya Nibhana Saathiya’ has ended. But fans still remember lead characters and actors of the show. TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee who played the role of ‘Gopi’ in the show has been travelling and exploring different places. Devoleena is quite a hottie in real life as contrary to her role in the show. Talking to TOI, Devoleena revealed that she is not ‘ghunghat wali bahu’ in real life.  She said, “The Devoleena you see on social media is the real me. It’s my personal zone. I was never a ghunghat wali bahu in real life. Tomorrow, even if I accept a role that’s similar to Gopi, I would still wear gowns at a public event. I wonder why people make such a big issue of my modern avatar on social media." She further said, “There has been no conscious effort to break the image of Gopi bahu, but now, I am happy that if 10 people in a crowd call me Gopi, the next five would address me as Devoleena.It often happens that when you play a character for many years, people forget that there is a real person behind the character.” Devoleena also talked about her marriage plans and revealed, “I would love to get married soon, but am looking for someone who is balanced.
