'Sidharth Shukla Was My First Gym Partner In Mumbai': Vidyut Jammwal Pays Tribute To 'Bigg Boss 13' Winner
Vidyut Jammwal spoke about his 'best friend' and 'asli mard' Sidharth Shukla during an Instagram live session. He also recalled his meeting with the 'Bigg Boss 13' winner.
Mumbai: It’s hard to believe that a talented artist like Sidharth Shukla is no more. The ‘Bigg Boss 13’ winner left for his heavenly abode on September 2 after suffering a cardiac arrest. His untimely demise has left his family, friends and fans teary-eyed. Bollywood star Vidyut Jammal, who shared a close bond with Sidharth, paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor on social media.
Vidyut, while conducting an Instagram live session, went down the memory lane and shared his special moments with Sidharth. From talking about their friendship to recalling his last conversation with Shukla, Jammwal got emotional while paying a tribute to him.
‘He Was My Best Friend’: Vidyut On Sidharth
The ‘Commando’ star revealed that he and Sidharth used to work together in the gym. He also shared Shukla’s gym mantra- ‘To be the man, you have to beat the man’.
Vidyut said, “I met him last on July 15, 2021. He used to arrive at my home unannounced, just like a best friend would do. He was my first gym partner in Mumbai. I never had a best friend like Shukla. I never shared such a bond with anyone. Usually, people remember what girls wear, but I told him that I remembered what he wore when we met first. He was wearing a white shirt and beige trouser.”
Vidyut also revealed that he showed his Filmfare Best Debut Male Award to Sidharth after he bagged it. “
Vidyut Calls Sidharth ‘Asli Mard’
The Bollywood star was all praise for Sidharth and his mother Rita Shukla. “He was an ‘asli mard’, who was raised by three strong women. A man brought up by a woman behaves very differently. He was brought up by three strong women. He respected everyone, be it a kid or a watchman. He never called the paparazzi to click his photos. The photographers were very fond of him, and he was also gracious with them.”
'I Felt Like God Was Being Cremated': Vidyut on Sidharth's Funeral
The 'Khuda Hafeez' star expressed his feelings on social media, thanking the fans on behalf of Shukla. "For the first time I felt that God was being cremated. People stood there with folded hands. With pride, I can say I love you," Vidyut said.
He dedicated the track 'When I See You Again' to Sidharth while concluding his live session.
