Shilpa Saklani And Apurva Agnihotri Do Not Sleep On Bed For THIS Reason

TV actress Shilpa Saklani recently some anecdotes about her daughter. After 18 years of marriage, Apurva Agnihotri and Shilpa Saklani welcomed a daughter Ishani Kanu Agnihotri into the world in 2022. Shilpa discussed "child care and safety of kids" on ‘The Motherhood Journey’, Rubina Dilaik's chat programme on YouTube. The actress revealed that she and her partner sleep on the floor as their house doesn't have a bed. Find out the reason.

According to Shilpa Saklani, they took the bed out of their room following an incident. Shilpa said, “A lot of times, those who are old school, those who are from the parents' time, they say, ‘You guys have fallen 100 times, nothing happens’. I said I will not let my daughter fall.”

Shilpa described the steps she took before her baby was ready to crawl. She said, “I had bought and kept all those railings at home. As soon as Ishani starts turning, I am going to put those railings. We make him lie down on the bed and put on pillows. Mom and I were sitting outside and drinking tea. Ishu had never turned over to date. Suddenly there was a loud sound, we both ran and she's (Ishani) on the ground. The first time that she turned, she decided to not just turn but to do a cut wheel over two big bolster pillows.”

She shared her emotions after the incident. “You can imagine me. I screamed so loudly. I picked her up. I cried so much. I said so sorry, I kept saying sorry for three hours.”

Shilpa Saklani and Apurva Agnihotri Removed the Bed

After the falling incident of her baby, Shilpa said that she told her husband to remove the bed. Shilpa shared, “I came home, and the first thing we did was get the legs of my bed cut. Then I realised that even after cutting the legs, it was still so high. So I told Apurva, to remove the bed, and put the mattress down, so from that day till today, we slept on the mattress. We don't have a bed because I don't want to take that chance where the child falls.”

Shilpa also mentioned the characteristics of her daughter saying, “She is crazy, she is mad, she is so much fun, she just keeps laughing, she dances the whole day.”
