Sheezan Khan Gets Court's Permission To Travel Abroad, Will Participate In Khatron Ke Khiladi 13

Television actor Sheezan Khan, who is out on bail in Tunisha Sharma suicide case, has been granted permission to travel abroad by the court.

New Delhi: Television actor Sheezan Khan, who is out on bail in Tunisha Sharma suicide case, has been granted permission to travel abroad by the court. The actor will now participate in Rohit Shetty’s show Khatron Ke Khiladi 13.

After his release from jail last month, he had filed an application in Maharashtra's Vasai court seeking temporary return of his passport which was earlier seized during the investigation of the ongoing case.

The Vasai court gave the order in his favour on Tuesday. Sheezan, who was approached for the stunt-based reality show, is now clear to participate in the show.

His lawyer Shailendra Mishra told indianexpress.com, “We are grateful to the court, as our application has been allowed and Sheezan Khan has been permitted to travel abroad for Khatron Ke Khiladi. I was surprised by the submissions made by the prosecution as their reply and argument supported our case, and their attempt of misleading the court was also thwarted at the threshold.”

Tunisha Sharma allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on December 24, 2022, on the sets of her TV serial 'Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul' near Valiv in Palghar. Sheezan was arrested the next day for abetment of suicide on a complaint lodged by Sharma's mother.  He was granted bail in March, 70 days after his arrest.

After his bail in a conversation with Bombay Times, Sheezan had expressed relief, saying that he now understands freedom's ‘true meaning’. “Today, I understand the true meaning of freedom and I can feel it. I was in tears the moment I saw my mother and sisters and I am so happy to be back with them. All I want to do for a few days is lie in my mother’s lap, eat food cooked by her, and spend time with my sisters and brother,” he was quoted as saying by Bombay Times.

When asked about Tunisha, Sheezan said, “I miss her and if she was alive, she would have fought for me.”

Abhishek Nigam has replaced Sheezan in the television show, which was renamed 'Ali Baba: Ek Andaaz Andekha Chapter 2.'
