Star Plus’s popular show ‘Ishqbaaaz’ has been grabbing headlines after the news of the show taking a leap circulated on the internet. Surbhi Chandna, who plays the role of Anika, is said to quit the show post the generation leap. Fans have expressed their disappointment over Surbhi’s exit from the show and they have taken to social media to vent out their anger. It seems Surbhi is not the only actor to bid adieu to the show, if a recent grapevine is to be believed. A report in an entertainment portal suggested that the entire main cast except Nakuul Mehta might bid farewell to the show. The makers are planning to revamp the story-line completely with the upcoming generation leap. "It'll be a fresh start for the show with a fresh story-line," a source told Bollywoodlife. Ishqbaaaz started as the story of three brothers Shivaay, Omkara and Rudra and their bond but the new storyline doesn’t require the other characters, as per the report. "With a new girl entering and the romance between her and Shivaansh (Shivaay's son), there is no need for other characters," the source told the portal. (Shivaay, Omkara and Rudra) An insider told the website that  that Kunal Jaisingh, Leenesh Mattoo, Mansi Srivastava and Shrenu Parikh, who are integral part of the show, will also say farewell to 'Ishqbaaaz' because of the generation leap.  This is  a bad news for the fans of these actors as they enjoy a significant fan following. The source also said that the star cast will wrap up the shoot within a week and it will be followed by the generation leap. "All of them are contractually bound as of now, so it is the makers' call and they want a fresh start," the source told the portal. (Source- Instagram) Kunal Jai Singh, who plays Omkara, said that the fans have waut and watch as the talks are still going on. "Talks are on but nothing is on papers yet.
