Pratyusha Banerjee DEATH : Actress had to borrow money from me, reveals former domestic help

New Delhi: The suspense surrounding the mysterious death of Balika Vadhu star Pratyusha Banerjee took another tense turn after 34-year-old former domestic help of the late actress has revealed some shocking details. According to a reports published in leading daily, the 'Balika Vadhu' actress frequently borrowed small amounts of money from her former maid Renu Sinha, for buying medicines or to hire a cab as all her finances were handled by her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh. The former domestic help of the late actress while talking to leading daily said that Rahul Raj Singh did not like Pratyusha's mother and that is why she left her daughter’s house in Mumbai. Her mother Soma had asked Renu to keep an eye on her actress daughter. “At odd hours in the night, I used to hear raised voices from the couple’s room. I wanted to rescue Pratyusha but didn’t know if it was right to interfere in a private matter between them. Whenever Rahul left home, I would coax Pratyusha into telling me everything. She spoke of Rahul accusing her of having an affair with her former boyfriend,” added Sinha to the leading daily. The 24-year-old actress, who shot to fame for her role as Anandi in hit TV series "Balika Vadhu", allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself inside her flat at Goregoan area of western suburbs on April 1. Rahul was booked under IPC sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 504, 506 (criminal intimidation), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), who has been in hospital since Sunday after he complained of chest pain. According to the doctors attending on him, "he still has suicidal tendencies".Police, who had already recorded Rahul's statement, are also trying to ascertain whether Pratyusha, who hailed from Jamshedpur, was in financial trouble or had any dispute with Rahul. Some reports suggested that the actress was depressed over not getting roles in TV serials. Her parents had alleged that their daughter took the extreme step as she was subjected to torture by Rahul. A few of Pratyusha's friends, who claimed to have evidence against Rahul, had earlier recorded their statements with the police. Pratyusha's maid, in her statement, had claimed Rahul used to physically and mentally harass the TV actress, police said.
