Karan Johar To Produce Star Plus' 'Nach Baliye 10'; Show To Launch In September?

New Delhi: Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has received flak on social media for promoting nepotism and favouritism in the film industry since the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. KJo has been facing the wrath of the angry fans as they believe the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor didn’t get his fair share in the industry due to the prevailing nepotism. Amidst all the hullabaloo, gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director will produce the upcoming season of ‘Nach Baliye’. Yes, you read that right! According to a report in an entertainment portal, Karan Johar might produce ‘Nach Baliye 10’ for Star Plus. The channel is looking to launch another season of the dance reality show in the upcoming months. Karan Johar is in talks with the channel and in all probability will produce ‘Nach Baliye 10’, a source told ETimes. Interestingly, the show is expected to go on air at the same time as Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss 14’. Salman, who will be next seen in ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’, produced the last season. Former couples and real-life couples competed on the dance floor. Ex couples including Urvashi Dholakia-Anuj Sachdeva, Aly Goni-Natasa Stankovic and Vishal Aditya Singh-Madhurima Tuli participated in ‘Nach Baliye 9’. The previous season of the dance show remained in limelight because of the constant fights between Vishal and Madhurima, who later went to participate in ‘Bigg Boss 13’. Despite the controversies, ‘NB 9’ couldn’t set the TRP charts on fire. ‘Bigg Boss 9’ winner Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary defeated Anita Hassanandani & Rohit Reddy to lift the winner’s trophy of ‘Nach Baliye 9’. Talking about ‘Bigg Boss 14’, the likes of Vivian Dsena, Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin, Neha Sharma have been approached for the show. ‘BB 13’ proved to be a blockbuster affair and the makers are now hoping to repeat the same.
