PM Modi Offers A 'Guarantee' To Delhi In His Thank You Note After The Win

Delhi Election Results 2025: PM Modi thanked BJP ground workers for their tireless effort for a resounding mandate.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the citizens of Delhi calling the mandate given by the people a victory of good governance. In a post on X (Twitter), he said, "People's Power is Supreme!". PM Modi thanked BJP ground workers for their tireless effort for a resounding mandate. 

"To all my brothers and sisters in Delhi, my heartfelt greetings and congratulations for giving a historic victory to BJP! I sincerely thank you for your immense blessings and love," Narendra Modi said in his tweet.

"We guarantee that we will leave no stone unturned to ensure the all-round development of Delhi and to make the lives of its people better. Along with this, we will also ensure that Delhi plays an important role in building a developed India," he added.

The BJP is set to form a government in Delhi after more than 26 years, with the latest Election Commission trends showing the saffron party leading in 47 of the 70 assembly seats, while AAP is ahead in 23.  

As of 2:54 PM, the BJP’s vote share stood at 45.78%, whereas AAP secured 43.81%.  

In a major upset, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal lost the high-profile New Delhi seat to BJP’s Parvesh Verma by over 3,000 votes. Former deputy CM Manish Sisodia conceded defeat in Jangpura, expressing hope that the BJP would work for the welfare of the people.  

Several senior AAP leaders faced defeat, including Saurabh Bhardwaj (Greater Kailash), Satyendar Jain (Shakur Basti), and Avadh Ojha (Patparganj).  

However, in Kalkaji, AAP candidate and Chief Minister Atishi managed to secure a victory over BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri.
