Nach Baliye 9: Salman Khan ROPES In EX-Girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani To JUDGE The Show?

Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani might host Nach Baliye 9, if a recent grapevine is to be believed.

New Delhi: ‘Nach Baliye 9’ has been making waves ever since it was announced that ex-couples will compete against real life jodis on the dance floor. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will produce the dance reality show, which will go on air from July 19 on Star Plus. Raveena Tandon, Ahmed Khan and ‘Bharat’ director Ali Abbas Zafar are rumoured to judge ‘Nach Baliye 9’. A report in an entertainment portal has suggested that Salman Khan has roped in his ex-girlfriend to judge the show. We are talking about Sangeeta Bijlani. The ‘Inshallah’ actor celebrated Sangeeta’s birthday at his place along with his alleged girlfriend Iulia Vantur and others. “Last week, Salman Khan celebrated Sangeeta’s 46th birthday with style and great warmth at his Galaxy apartment in Bandra, along with some close friends like Sajid and Warda Nadiadwala, Dabangg 3 team, Prabhu Dheva, and co-actor Kichcha Sudeep, Daisy Shah, Mohnish and Ekta Bahl and Iulia Vantur. Since her move from Hyderabad to Mumbai, Sangeeta, has remained in touch with Salman and his family and is very close to his sister Alvira Agnihotri. Salman is not just the producer of Nach Baliye 9 but extremely hands-on in the creative department. It was his suggestion that they rope in Sangeeta as one of the judges on the show. The show has an interesting format this time – it is not just about couples but ex-couples too coming under the same roof, exes who have moved on with their lives and are friends today and he and Sangeeta have remained on good terms. They are good friends and sometimes even work out together at the gym. Sangeeta is often spotted at most of Salman’s family events and is extremely close to the Khandaan,” a source told Pinkvilla.

Salman and Sangeeta reportedly dated each other for close to ten years and it was even rumoured that they were planning to get married. Gossip mills suggest that Sangeeta called off her marriage with Salman after she got to know that he was also dating Somi Ali. The ‘Tridev’ actress tied the knot with former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin in 1996.  However, the ex-couple got divorced in 2010. On the professional front, Sangeeta Bijlani has been part of films like Hathyar, Jurm, Yodha, Yugandhar, Izzat and Lakshman Rekha.
